Archangel Imaging is developing and delivering AI and robotics technology to help protect our service personnel, critical infrastructure and first responders over large, remote areas. Our systems include edge AI cameras to provide autonomous detection and navigation as well as a web app to help coordinate people and machines (sensors, robots, rovers, drones…) collaboratively.

We are looking for a service-oriented Programme Delivery / Project Manager who is experienced in delivering technology projects and in working with large customers in sectors like governments, aerospace & defence. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the tech team and product manager, you will be responsible for delivering successful technology development and implementation projects. Your impact should drive customer success and lead to additional / repeat business with the same customers. You will make an impact by:

  • Ensuring the successful delivery of new technology (hardware and software) over multiple concurrent technology projects, aligning work packages with company strategy & product roadmap whilst managing the allocation of team resources.
  • Developing and managing an integrated project plan with realistic and effective schedules, budgets, and risks.
  • Project reporting, administration and invoicing, working with customer systems to ensure we anticipate any delivery compliance issues or other potential hurdles.
  • Liaising directly with our customers, users and our product manager to translate insights into requirements for products to be developed and improved.
  • Mentoring and coaching team members to help them succeed for our customers, for each other and for themselves. Grow our future leaders!
  • Contributing to the overall company’s growth by improving systems, processes and tools.

You primary activities will relate to programme delivery and coordination, but we are a growing team with lots of opportunity to contribute. All our staff work flexibly to support the company’s common goals and main effort. You may find yourself supporting flight test activities in USA, presenting at conferences in the EU or leading volunteer days with local STEM outreach organisations.

Must have requirements:

  • Experience working with military/police/aerospace/government or similar large customers
  • Proven track record in managing technical programmes from definition, through interim demonstrations to final work package/ product delivery, in all key PM areas (risks, schedule, budget, quality)
  • Experience in delivering complex software &/or hardware technical projects

Nice to have requirements:

  • Experience in market development, user engagement, product development or business development
  • Experience in different project management approaches (agile, waterfall)
  • Hands-on technical experience or technical background / training related to a STEM subject
  • Experience in field trials and pilot deployments
  • Have a reputable project management qualification eg PMP

Location:
Hybrid with travel when required for client visits. Office visits would ideally be 1-3 days per week. Our office is based is Harwell Space campus, Oxford. Depending on the projects, there will also be some overseas travel (not compulsory); previous locations have been: USA, Northern Europe, South America, South East Asia, East Africa.
Security clearance: You will need access to government restricted information to do the work, so you will need to pass basic security and background checks. Eligibility and willingness to undergo future full security clearance (SC) is beneficial.
